November of Gratitude- Our First Food Drive!

Written by Emily Rose

We are on the brink of November which means exciting things are coming to Harmony this month! Last year we started our first annual month of Gratitude since November is the month of Thanks-giving. We continue this year with even more exciting ways to give back and share the joy of our work and appreciation for our customers and community.

We will be holding our first Food Drive to benefit the local food bank, Island Harvest! All November we will be offering $5 off any massage service for anyone who brings in at least 2 non-perishable food or supply items. We appreciate all donations but are requesting help collecting healthier food options as well as toiletries and household supplies so our neighbors have the opportunity to eat the way we would choose to eat ourselves. Island Harvest serves over 400 organizations across Long Island who directly help those in need. It is also a cause dear to Emily's heart because Island Harvest was the first real job she had in addition to being her reason for moving to Long Island.

Essential Oils are highly potent and incredibly powerful because they contain the natural healing power of the plant they are extracted from. Scientific analysis has proven the antibacterial, anti-microbial and antiseptic powers of essential oils. Each plant also has various physical and emotional components to them.
